ADI LAUNCHES ITS SURVEY ON THE LIVING AND WORKING CONDITION OF RESEARCH FELLOWS

Research fellowships in Italy represent the main way in which researchers are hired in Italian universities and research centres. And yet they provide very little guarantees in terms of welfare measures, and no guarantees in terms of career progression, thus leading to serious cases of exploitation due to long-lasting forms of contract precariousness.

For this reason, we are launching our survey on the living and working conditions of research fellows in Italian universities and research centres! Our aim is to gain insight into how research fellows go through this difficult phase of their academic careers, and have a better understanding of the research fellowship system as a whole, as a crucial part of how Italian universities and research centres function.

The questionnaire is open to all research fellows currently working in Italy.

It is our belief that a change on research policies should be implemented starting with the fiscal law of this year. We ask all of you for a small but fundamental contribution by answering this little set of questions, in order to make it easier for us to define the proposals that we are going to bring to the Government and the Parliament.
